The Belgravia Foundation Aquatic Communications Cards are:
- A learning aid to support Swim Teachers when providing lessons to any learner.
- For use with any learner. The cards may be particularly useful for students that may find spoken English difficult to hear or understand.
- A tool with illustrations to support communications of key instructions and concepts by Swim Teachers.
- A way to promote inclusion in our venues through illustrations that show people of many backgrounds and characteristics that reflects all who enjoy learn to swim programs provided by Belgravia Leisure.
Benefits for students:
Learn to swim lessons can be noisy. It can be hard for people to hear and understand instructions in some settings. Communication Cards will help to:
- Provide concrete, visual information.
- Help communicate expectations and consequences.
- Help communicate needs and wants.
- Reduce anxiety and behaviour problems
How to use cards:
- Place your card/s on a flat surface (pool ledge or wall) to highlight the skill you are working on.
- Use the cards to create a storyboard outlining the lesson or task at hand.
- Simply hold the cards up and follow with a demonstration
Charitable cause:
Revenue from Aquatic Communication Cards sales will go back into serving aquatic communities/swim schools to improve access and new opportunities for marginalised groups to participate in aquatic activities.

Is my purchase tax deductible?
Tax deductibility may be available when the Aquatic Communication Cards are used for the conduct of a business. Consult your tax advisor to determine whether the purchase is tax deductible for your circumstances.
Is there postage available?
Postage is not available as the Aquatic Communication Cards are delivered to you electronically.
What is your refund policy?
Under the Australian Consumer Law, the customer is only entitled to a refund or replacement for a major problem with a product covered by consumer guarantees. If a consumer identifies a problem with a product that means it does not meet a consumer guarantee and Belgravia Foundation will offer a replacement set of Aquatic Communication Cards.
